On February 14 Flipkart announced its new sell-back program, following the recent acquisition of Yaantra. Yaantra is a firm, expert in the refurbishment of tech products. In association with Yaantra Flipkart aims towards enhancing the digital economy of India, By giving support to the smartphone refurbishment market. On the press release Ravi Iyer, Senior Vice President and Head Corporate Development said “Through the acquisition of Yaantra, we are enhancing our capabilities in a domain that is critical for the growth of the digital economy in India, as well as developing a comprehensive service ecosystem to support its expansion.” Through this sustainable program, on one hand there will be decrease in e-waste and on the other there will be availability of smartphones at convenient prices for the end consumers.

When Flipkart completes the verification process of your phone, the buyer will get a Flipkart electronic Gift voucher. Later, the buyer can redeem the voucher for anything in return on Flipkart. This doorstep service is now available among major Indian cities that covers more than 1700 pin codes. So, no need to search for the shops where you can sell your old phones and try to get accurate money for it, now this service is also available online on Flipkart.
