How to use 2 Google Pay apps in one phone using Dual apps feature
There is a tweak you can try if you are really interested in using two Google Pay apps in one phone. This method is useful for those who have two accounts in different banks and both of them have separate registered mobile numbers. Note that it may work only in some phones that support Dual apps. For using this feature, follow the steps given below: Step 1. Go to Settings in your phone, tap on ‘Apps’ and then select ‘Dual apps’. Step 2. Scroll through the list of apps and toggle the bar in front of Google Pay to enable the feature for the app. You will receive a notification that the dual version of the app has been created in your phone. Step 3. Next, set up your new account by opening the second Google Pay App. Enter the mobile number registered with the other bank account and tap on ‘Next’. Step 4. Check the Gmail address that you want to associate with the account and again click on ‘Next’. Step 5. Google Pay will send an OTP on your phone; enter the same to verify the phone number linked to the account. Step 6. Next, secure your account by using the Google PIN or the Screen Lock. It is advisable to use the Google PIN, so tap on ‘Use Google PIN’ in the next window and click on ‘Continue’. Step 7. Now add the bank account by entering the card details and create a new UPI PIN. Post verification, the new Google Pay account will be successfully set up. This tweak to use two Google Pay apps in one phone requires both the SIM cards to be in the same phone. You cannot link an account to the second Google Pay app if the SIM of the registered mobile number is another phone. If your phone does not support the Dual apps feature, you can try using the ‘Parallel Space’ App. Install the app, click on ‘Start’ and select the apps that you want to duplicate. A ‘Parallel Space’ window will appear on the screen, which will encompass the dual versions of the selected apps. Again, this app might not work in all the phones. Here’s how you can add two bank accounts to Google Pay: Step 1. Open the Google Pay app and click on the three vertical dots appearing on the screen. Step 2. From the menu, choose Settings and then tap on ‘Payments methods’. Step 3. Under Payments methods, you will get the option of adding a bank account. Select ‘Add bank account’ and tap on the name of the bank that you wish to add from the given list. If the concerned bank is not in the list, then it cannot be added to Google Pay. Step 4. Once you enter the requisite card details, Google Pay will send an SMS to the concerned bank for verification. After the details have been verified, you will be asked to create a separate UPI PIN for the new account. Click on ‘Create PIN’ and enter the desired digits. Step 5. The bank will send an OTP on your registered mobile number after the PIN has been added. Upon verification, the new account will be added to the Google Pay App. Follow the aforementioned steps to add multiple bank accounts to the Google Pay app in your phone.
